This song was written the day Scomo released a marketing video in response to criticisms of his handling of the bushfire crisis. The first week of January was a rough one for him - it started New Years Eve with Tex Perkins flipping him off on live TV, videos of failed handshakes kept going viral and no one in Cobargo would have a bar of him.

Any sane PM would see their empathy consult for an extra lesson in sincerity and see to it that the response was properly coordinated but not our Scotty, he thought it was more important to get the message out that he was doing a good job (despite all evidence to the contrary).

Scotty from marketing is in a little bit of a pickle,
Pride is sticking in his throat and it is starting to tickle,
How does he sell his way out of this?
When even Piers Morgan thinks he's taking the piss?

The singer on Tele told you where you can stick it,
& even the potato has been quietly plotting a coup

But how good is cricket?

So Scotty's still trying to make protest against the law,
Police were invented to quell the peasants after all,
He won't play nice, he sees it has his mandate,
If you didn't want to get fucked you should have taken the handshake
Can't wait 'til the fires are out and we'll get on with the war.
